It's about time...

... that I can look into a mirror and see my true reflection.

... that I can open my eyes to see this new direction.

It's about time...

... that I don't have to keep this pain buried deep inside.

... that I can let it go without dark shame to hide.

It's about time...

... that I can grow scar tissue and remove the dirty bandage.

... that I can drop and leave behind all this excess baggage.

It's about time...

... that I can express the words that could never be spoken.

... that I can allow forgiveness into a spirit that's been broken.

It's about time...

... to accept that I am not worthless and a big mistake.

... to overcome being a vulnerable target to humiliate.

It's about time...

... that I realize you were lead away to be bruised and beaten.

... that I know you fully understand the ugliness of evil men.

It's about time...

... that I stop blaming myself for someone else's sin.

... that I reach out to you and ask you in.

It's about time...

... that the once hollow gospel words now totally fill me.

... to release my embittered soul and emotions so ugly.

It's about time...

... to be reshaped and renewed knowing above you there is none.

... to be called "formerly known as";
                         I maybe nothing to most, but everything to ONE.

This is a story about the lifelong effects that abuse can have on a person.
If you have been, or are being abused, please don't keep it a shameful secret and
bury it deep down inside.  You are a victim, not the cause. Seek out someone
that you trust and can give good counsel.  Give your emotional pain to the Lord.
He was a victim of abuse to the point of death on the cross.  He understands all 
of our pain and emotional hurts.


John 16:33
