Hey.... I Can See My House From Here!

Climbing up a grassy hill above my little town,
Everything looks so peaceful as I nostalgically look down.
Neat little rows of life, the people I love so dear,
I can even see my house from here.

Visiting the big big city, with its fast pulse of life,
A sprinkling of grandeur nestled amongst the strife.
Panning the hazy skyline, everyone clustered on this sphere,
Hey, I can see my house from here.

Scaling a mountain top, nobody for miles around,
The view is awe-inspiring, my heartbeat the only sound.
In the valley below, two graceful eagles appear,
I can still see my house from here.

In a diving bell at the bottom of the sea,
The tethered lifeline four hundred feet above me.
The darkness is claustrophobic, yet so strangely clear,
I can still see my house from here.

Walking through a deep valley, a valley of dry bones,
No sound but the wind, feeling so alone.
Time for reflection, solitude is like a mirror,
Looking up, I still see my house from here.

Two sides at war, bullets flying overhead,
Innocence in the crossfire, standing in a river of red.
Rising above the politics, looking past the fear,
I can clearly see my house from here.

Searching up towards heaven, through the stars of night,
Knowing where I stand, seeking out the light.
Whether wading through turmoil, or quiet peace so near,
I can always see my heavenly house from here.

As it is written, trust in Christ as in God,
Your path will then be lit where ever you may trod.
My Father's house has many rooms, one prepared for each believer,
I can always see his majestic house from here.

John 14:1-4
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, trust also in me. In my Father's
house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going
there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will
come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You
know the way to the place where I am going.
