I Hope This Was A Two Bathroom Home:
A woman from the
western part of Kansas sat on her boyfriend's
toilet for two years, and Deputies are investigating whether she was
mistreated.
A man called the Sheriff's office to report that something was wrong
with his girlfriend.
It appeared that the 35-year-old woman's skin had grown around
the toilet seat. She initially refused emergency medical services but
was finally convinced by responders and her boyfriend that she
needed to be checked out at a hospital.
The responders pried the toilet seat off with a pry bar and the seat
went with her to the hospital. The hospital staff removed it.
The investigators are trying to determine whether any charges should
be filed against the woman's 36-year-old boyfriend.
The Sheriff said she was not glued. She was not tied. She was just
physically stuck by her body. "It's hard to imagine... I still have
a
hard time imagining it myself", said the Sheriff.
The boyfriend said he brought his girlfriend food and water, and
asked her every day to come out of the bathroom. Her reply would
be, "Maybe tomorrow". According to the boyfriend, she did
not
want to leave the bathroom. He never did explain why it took him
two years to call.
The woman said she didn't want to leave the bathroom and refused
to cooperate with medical providers or law enforcement investigators.
Authorities said they did not know if she was mentally or physically
disabled.
Everyone was in agreement; "I don't think anybody can make any
sense out of it."

Freedom of Choice:
A woman in
Michigan refused Halloween candy to children whose
parents supported Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.
She only passed out candy to those who shared her support for
John McCain.
The local TV station reported that a sign posted outside her house in
suburban Detroit served this notice to children seeking treats:
"No handouts for Obama supporters, liars, tricksters or kids of
supporters."
When asked about the children who were turned away empty-handed
and crying, she said: "Oh well. Everybody has a choice."
(I guess the word "choice" is defined
differently by different people.
As long as your choice fits their choice, then there's no problems)

Red Light, Green Light:
In the late
1800's, the Ramsgate Lighthouse in England had a confusing
warning system. It flashed a GREEN light as a warning for DANGER,
and a RED light to assure ships it was SAFE to proceed.
(opinion note: these are the same people who thought driving on the
wrong side of the road was also a good idea.)

Audience Participation?
To create the
language of the mutants in the 1932 film "Island of Lost
Souls", a mixture of animal sounds and foreign languages was
recorded,
then played back at alternating speeds. The sound caused
audiences
to vomit.

The Ride of a Lifetime:
In February 2007,
a German paraglider survived the ride of her life
when she woke up encased in ice at 32,000 feet!
The German 2005 World Cup winner, Ewa Wisnerska, was sucked
up into a tornado-like thunderstorm in Australia and carried to a
height
of 32,612 feet (9,940 meters) which is greater than Mount Everest.
She was preparing for the tenth FAI World Paragliding Championships
near Manilla in New South Wales.
She said she was shaking all the time and remembered it was dark and
could hear lightning all around her. Her ascent took only 10 minutes
and rendered her unconscious for almost an hour.
Ewa encountered hailstones the size of oranges and the temperature
plummeted to minus 58 degrees Fahrenheit. There is no oxygen at that
height and she could have suffered brain damage, but came to again
covered in ice and slowly descended herself. She was admitted to a
hospital with severe frostbite and blistering to her face and ears,
but
was soon released.
Ewa had been trying to fly around the rapidly developing storm front,
but became trapped when two storm cells merged together.
Her flight was tracked by her personal GPS, and she landed 40 miles
from her launch site.
A Chinese paraglider was killed by the same weather system,
apparently from a lack of oxygen and extreme cold.
A British team member earlier in the same month survived an attack
by two wild eagles which sent her canopy plummeting while flying in
the same area. She was also preparing for the championships.
