Small Groups

Small Groups are a key way to build Christian relationships and grow closer to God.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are small groups?

Small groups are groups of 8-12 people that gather in homes weekly to meet, study and share. It offers a great way to connect more deeply with a smaller group of people.  Depending on the needs, we have had groups for men, women, couples, or a combined mix of everyone.

When can I sign up for small groups?

Small groups meet Fall through Spring. If you want to join a small group, speak with an elder or pastor for the current group openings.

When and where do groups meet?

Most groups meet on weeknights from 6:30-8pm at houses around the northwest metro.

Each small group session lasts 8 to 10 weeks and meets during the Fall, Winter and Spring. After each session, you have the option to stay in the same group, try a new group or even take a break. Most groups will stay together all year.

Small groups do not meet officially June to August, but may plan activities together as the relationships have grown.

What is the commitment?

Joining a small group requires a commitment to attend the meetings and do the homework ahead of time until the end of the quarter. This commitment is key to a healthy small group. If the group isn’t a good fit for you, we would love to find another group for you.

What will we study?

The small group study is based on the previous weekend’s sermon. We discuss how the message applies to real-life.

Each week there will be Bible passages and questions handed out with the bulletin. You will use this to study before the small group meeting to be able to discuss and share with the group. The study usually takes 20 minutes to complete.

Some small groups have gone through an agreed upon book for some of the sessions on a topic that interested them.
